II: The number of posts given against each category is liable to variation.

III: In case of subjects where posts are advertised both in Rest of Haryana Cadre and Mewat Cadre, the candidates are required to give their preference in respect of Cadre i.e. Rest of Haryana / Mewat.

IV: If a candidate fails to provide their Cadre option, Commission will treat the Rest of Haryana Cadre as their 1st preference and the Mewat Cadre as their 2nd preference.

V: The candidates applying for the post should ensure that they fulfill all eligibility conditions for the post. Their admission to the recruitment process will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. The issuance of an e-Admit Card does not imply that the commission has finally cleared the candidate’s candidature. Commission will assess the eligibility of a candidate based on the documents they submit only after they have qualified for the interview.

VI: The decision of the Commission with regards to the eligibility of a candidate shall be final.

The essential qualification is as per Service Rules [Haryana State Education School Cadre (Group-B) Service Rules 2012 and Mewat District School Education (Group-B) Service Rules 2012] dated 11.04.2012 as amended from time to time.
(a) Essential Qualification common to all advertisement of posts under HPSC PGT Recruitment 2024:
(i) Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A./M.A. with Hindi as one of the subject.
(ii) Certificate of having qualified Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) /School Teachers Eligibility Test (STET).
iii) Consistent good academic record.

Details of Scheme/Pattern of Exam:

1. Screening Test (wherever applicable):
  • Total number of MCQs: 100
  • The subject wise syllabus is enclosed at Annexure-I to XX
  • Time duration of the exam: 02 hours
  • Total Marks: 100
  • All questions carry equal marks.
  • Each question will have five options (A, B, C, D & E). If a candidate is attempting a question, she/he shall have to darken the appropriate circle A, B, C or D and if not attempting a question then, she/he shall have to darken E circle. If none of the five circles is darkened, one fourth (0.25) mark shall be deducted.
  • Any candidate not darkening any of the five circles in more than 10% questions shall be disqualified.
  • One-fourth mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
  • Candidates four times the numbers of advertised posts, including bracketed candidates if any, will be called for the next stage of selection process, provided that they have secured the minimum cut-off marks of 25% in the screening test.
  • In cases, where the total number of applicants is less or nearly four times the number of advertised posts, the Commission reserves its right to call the candidates directly for the subject knowledge test.
  • The marks obtained by the candidates in the screening test will not be counted for final selection because it is only for short listing of category-wise candidates, for the subject knowledge test.
2. Subject Knowledge Test:
  • Time duration of exam: 03 hours
  • Total Marks : 150
  • The subject wise syllabus is enclosed at Annexure-I to XX.
  • The numbers of the candidates to be called for interview will be two times, including bracketed candidates if any, of the number of advertised posts provided that they have secured the minimum cutoff marks of35%.
  • The weightage of the subject knowledge test will be 87.5%.
3. Medium of Exam for Screening and Subject Knowledge Tests:

i). Only in English Language:
Biology, Chemistry, Home Science, Mathematics and Physics.

ii). In Bilingual i.e. English and Hindi Language:
Commerce, Economics, Fine Arts, Geography, History, Music, Physical Education, Political Science, Psychology and Sociology.

iii). The language subjects such as English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu and Punjabi will be in their respective language only.

4. Interview/ Viva-Voce:
  • The weightage of the interview will be 12.5%.
  • The final merit list will be prepared by adding the marks of the subject knowledge test and interview/ viva-voce

Note: In case of Music, Physical Education and Fine Arts, Skill Test will be held first and foremost. Those who qualify the Skill Test, will be allowed to participate in the next stage of the recruitment process of HPSC PGT Recruitment 2024.

Guidelines/Steps for Submission of Online Application:

  • Candidates applying for ‘HPSC PGT Recruitment 2024’ have to compulsorily register online by visiting https://regn.hpsc.gov.in directly OR through https://hpsc.gov.in/ for submitting their online application form.
  • After registration, a login ID would be created and the candidates will have to complete the registration process by using the login ID.
  • Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP), Aadhar No’ & Virtual ID (VID) is required for Aadhar authentication during Biometric attendance.
  • After completion of registration, the candidates can apply against the respective advertisement as per their qualifications.
  • Duly filled application form can be submitted only after payment of requisite fee.
  • After making payment, the candidates have to take a printout of their application form and upload the same after duly checking & signing it.
  • Application process would be completed only after submission of duly signed application form by the candidates.

  • Scanned copy of EWS certificate valid for year 2024-2025 as per Govt. instruction dated 25.02.2019.
  • Scanned copy of DESM certificate for the year 2024-25.
  • Scanned copy of ESM/DFF certificate.
  • Scanned copy of PwBD Certificate. (For PwBD).
  • Scanned copy of Aadhar card.
  • Scanned copy of Parivar Pehchan Patra.
  • Scanned copy of Haryana Domicile Certificate (if a candidate availing benefits of reservation).
  • Scanned copy of NOC from Department (For Haryana Govt. Employees who have signed Bond)
