| Age Limits for Sub Inspectors Head Constables and Constable in BSF: The crucial date to determine the age limit in each case shall be closing date of receipt of online applications i.e., 01-Jul-2024 | |||||||||
| For SI | Between 22 to 28 years | ||||||||
| For HC and Constable | Between 20 to 25 years | ||||||||
| Relaxation in upper age limit is available to different categories and Central Government servants as per instructions/ order issued by Central Government form time to time. | |||||||||
| Educational Qualification | |||||||||
| SI (Master) | i) 10 + 2 or equivalent from a recognized Board or University; and ii) 2nd class Master Certificate issued by Central/State Inland Water Transport Authority/Mercantile Marine Department. | ||||||||
| SI (Engine Driver) | i) 10 + 2 or equivalent from a recognized Board or University; and ii) 1st class Engine Driver Certificate issued by Central/State Inland Water Transport Authority/Mercantile Marine Department. | ||||||||
| HC (Master) | i) Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent; and ii) Serang Certificate. | ||||||||
| HC (Engine Driver) | i) Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent; and ii) Possessing 2nd class Engine Driver Certificate. | ||||||||
| HC (Workshop) | i) Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent; and ii) ii) Industrial Training Institute Diploma in Motor Mechanic (Diesel/Petrol Engine), Electrician, AC Technician, Electronics, Machinist, Carpentry & Plumbing for the respective posts of HC (Workshop) from a recognized Institution. | ||||||||
| Constable (Crew) | i) Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent; and ii) One year experience in operation of Boat below 265 HP; iii) Should know swimming in deep water without any assistance. | ||||||||
